Integrity

I was disappointed to read Paul Bloomberg’s letter last week. We live in a small town where there’s no need for negative electioneering. This isn’t a national election, which we all know has become far too partisan.

All the candidates for city counsel are concerned and dedicated residents and we should all appreciate their desire to help lead the city. I guess this falls under the motto “no good deed goes unpunished.”

For those candidates that don’t want to use yard signs and therefore eliminate unnecessary waste, good for them. For those candidates that don’t chose that path, that’s fine too. Having said that, it’s a personal decision of the candidates and certainly we shouldn’t turn it into a political issue.

I’ve known Jim Kirsch for over thirty years and have always found him to be a fine and upstanding person with the highest degree of integrity. There was no ulterior motive to his decision to not use yard signs. Shame on anyone for thinking anything else.
